LC: Ratchet Straps strapping capacity. This is the maximum allowable force in daN that the strapping device is designed to maintain in use. According to the EN 12195-1 standard, this is the parameter required to calculate the fixation of the cargo in the case of direct strapping.

SHF: Standard hand strength for Small Ratchet Straps. It is the load in daN and represents the maximum action that can be performed manually on the tensioner. In fact, this is the maximum force, equivalent to about 50 kg, that the operator can apply to the ratchet to tighten the bundle.

STF: Best Ratchet Straps Standard Tension. Residual force after the actual release of the tensioner handle at an action equal to SHF=50 daN. This parameter is used to calculate the safety of the cargo when friction strapping is used, as specified in the EN 12195-1 standard. The higher the value of the STF parameter, the higher the strapping performance of the device. In fact, for the same action on Ratchet Tie Down equal to 50 daN, a web lashing with a higher STF value guarantees a greater residual tension than a web lashing with a lower STF value. Web strapping without the STF parameters shown on the label should not be used for friction strapping, only direct strapping.
